Monkeyfoot

You are such an insensical manifestation
an arrangement of grace and diatribe
a cloud that can not quite filter the sun
but lets one think he is not getting burned

Remember when we applied for the job
of inventing aphorisms
all we came up with was
People who talk around corners have crooked smiles

Glow In The Dark

I miss the ritual of the mechanical spring
did you ever wind a Baby Ben?
this diodic world is like an insubordinate child
it just happens with luminosity
just as alive as the phosphorescent sea
a thing that does not need to be reminded
to remind us of what we must not forget
