Everything that is a part of life
that you have taught me to see
from its own perspective

We will never know another embrace like his
women felt him without artifice
for men it was pure bonhomie
a radiant smile for everyone

Truly a man for all seasons
on the sea a Corsair
on land a Prince
his voice had the magic
of the pipe of Hamlin

He fought the hardest battle
and never turned his face
yes the tide has turned
but does not steal our memories

He sails a calmer Bay now
and has made his final trade
his life on earth with us
for eternal peace with God
